Huron-Bruce MPP Carol Mitchell and MP Ben Lobb (third from right) dropped into Brockton Monday morning to announce the municipality had been approved for two projects under the Recreational Infrastructure Canada program (RInC) and Recreation Ontario. The province and federal government will each contribute $166,666 for two projects. The community centre will be getting a new roof, new boards and glass around the rink and new rubber flooring. Another $166,666 each will be going to various repairs to the swimming pool, tennis courts and picnic shelter in Centennial Park. Brockton must match the $166,666 which brings the total to just under one million dollars. Also taking part in Monday’s announcement were Brockton councillors, from left: David Inglis, Dan Gieruszak, Mayor Charlie Bagnato, Charlie Reidl, and Tim Mancell.
